PRESS RELEASE / OPTA Europe elects new Board to Navigate Tomorrow’s Challenges

A new chapter for OPTA Europe started at the General Assembly 2026, held in Brussels on 24 September, when a new Board was elected for a 3 years mandate. The new Board is composed as follows:

  • President
    Stefan Hipp (Hipp) – Germany
  • Vice-president
    David Caré (Ecotone) – France
  • Treasurer
    Christine González (Dried Ingredients) – Germany
  • Members of the Board
    Karst Kooistra (Tradin Organic) – The Netherlands
    Allard Bakker (De Groene Weg) – The Netherlands 

Re-elected president Stefan Hipp said he was honoured to be taking the presidency again and was looking forward to tackling the regulatory and practical challenges for organic trading and processing companies ahead.
